(Part
1)
As
an individual, male or female especially as a young person who still have so
much to live for, you owe it yourself to make sure you have the correct and true
notion of Sex in your mind, otherwise, you may use your own hands to put a hook
on your throat sooner or later. Some persons don't tell you the complete truth
because they figured it is better to sell what most people are willing to buy
which is basically a little truth covered with so much lies.
Many
adverts on TV’s today advise young people to use a Condom, and go ahead to have casual Sex that it will protect them. Such
advise is a classic example of the little bit of truth we earlier talked about.
Condom is just like an umbrella and
at best a rain coat as it is fondly called in many societies. You don’t need to
be a genius to know that an umbrella or a raincoat cannot really protect you
from a serious rain let alone a storm. An umbrella can only prevent a couple of
drops of rain from touching you but sooner or later you will get wet; and if it
is a heavy rain or storm, your umbrella or rain coat will simply be useless.
Ofcourse
an umbrella is good but should never be overrated or be called what it is not. An
umbrella is not a bullet proof vest neither is it capable of shielding you from
storms or a proper rain. Trust me nobody with his complete senses will enter a
storm because he has an umbrella in his hand. So, Condoms can never completely protect you.
(Protection)
The
word ‘protect’ is an English word
that means the following, ‘To Shield
from danger, injury, change, capture and loss: To completely defend and strengthen’. If you observed the
definition of the word ‘protect’
carefully, you will see that it is an exclusive word’, that doesn’t have room
for words like partially, almost, limited etc. In other words, when you say something
can ‘protect’ that means you are
saying that thing can ‘completely’
shield from every form of danger, injury, change, capture and loss as it
relates to the subject matter. Perhaps, the unwritten caption on the pack of
condoms reads the following: ‘Users are
their own risk’. With regards the world’s statistics today, so many
millions still get infected every year and now almost half of the population
get infected; despite all the free distribution of CONDOMS in schools and free medical test venue(s).
Believe
or not Condoms cannot really protect
you and I from STD’s and STI’s including HIV. It was never really meant to ‘protect’ but to ‘reduce risk’
and that is no more a top secret. Truth is one’s virginity as a young person is
his/her only best and real protection against STD’s and STI’s, and
other sexual troubles. However, if your virginity is lost already, you can
still protect yourself by staying completely faithful to your spouse or simply
flee from illicit sex if you are not old enough to have a spouse. Except you
are already infected, it is never too late to avoid the diseases or truly
protect yourself from other ones. All you
have to do is discipline yourself and stop engaging in indiscriminate sexual
intercourse with or without Condoms.
